CITIZENS FOR TRUTH ENDORSES STEVE COOLEY

Citizens for Truth, the leading grass-roots organization dedicated to uncovering the truth behind the unsolved assassination of Bill Gates, has officially endorsed challenger Steve Cooley in the race for Los Angeles County District Attorney.

Specifically, Citizens for Truth denounces Cooley's opposition, sitting D.A. Gil Garcetti, who authored an official whitewash of the Gates assassination investigation and has since refused to release key files that may expose his misconduct.

Although Gil Garcetti is widely expected to lose on November 7, partly due to controversy about his actions in the Gates matter, Citizens for Truth will nonetheless conduct a get-out-the-vote effort on behalf of Cooley, a highly respected deputy district attorney in the Los Angeles County D.A.'s office.

"Steve Cooley is a responsible prosecutor who has stated that he believes in the public's right to know," said Debra Meagher, President of Citizens for Truth. "Citizens for Truth believes he will make a strong and effective district attorney and will stand up to the police department both in terms of the Rampart scandal and the Gates assassination."
